Josh Isbell - Strength & Conditioning

Josh Isbell MS, CSCS, USAW1

As a Strength and Conditioning Coach he has experience working in the private sector being the Director of Severyn Sports and with the NCAA with UCLA, TCU, UCO and the United States Olympic Training Facility located in Oklahoma City.  At UCLA and TCU, he helped with training and athletic development for numerous sports teams that included football, baseball, volleyball, swimming, soccer, and rugby.  He was the Head Performance Coach at UCO for ice hockey and has experienced tremendous success winning their first National Championship in his first year with the team. While at the Olympic Training Facility he worked with Olympic rowers and kayakers of all ages and all different skill levels ranging from novice to Olympic athletes.   

While in college he played ice hockey for the University of Central Oklahoma and baseball for Northern Oklahoma College.  Josh graduated with a Master’s Degree in Sports Science and Wellness Management, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Central Oklahoma. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, as well as a Level 1 United States Weightlifting Coach.  

Josh developed a passion for performance, health and wellness from being active throughout his life. Being involved in sports gave him a good work ethic and an understanding that hard work pays off in the end.

In his off time he enjoys spending time with family and friends.  Being at the lake, playing hockey and baseball is among his favorite activities to do.
